Cottonwood Patch Campground

Forest Service campground on the Conasauga River near the Tennessee line that allows horses, with up to 2 horse trailers per site. It is the trailhead for the roughly 12-mile Iron Mountain Trail. Camping is $8 per site per night by Recreation.gov reservation, open year round, and day-use parking is free. There is a vault toilet but no potable water, and rigs are limited to about 20 feet because of curves and bridges.
