Little River Canyon National Preserve Backcountry Horse Roads

About 23 miles of numbered dirt, chert and gravel backcountry roads in the preserve's wildlife management area are open to horses, shared with 4x4s, bikes and hikers. Trailers park at the Hunters Check Station lot off Cherokee County Road 103 or the gravel lot on DeKalb County Road 295. No fee or permit is needed, camping is not allowed, and streams may be dry in summer. Hunting is allowed, so check gun season dates.
